A Lost Future: Shezad Dawood
Publication design for The Rubin Museum, New York, 2018. This book documents the year-long, three-part exhibition A Lost Future, at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York. Divided into three ”chapters”, each exhibiting artist selected different designers for their part of the book.
Shezad Dawood approached us to interpret his contribution and bring added references to support and expand the premise of the project. This was done via a collection of editorial objects re-composed from archival scans of documents connected to, or referencing Kalimpong and its histories. Using references to Alladin, CIA, Tom Slick’s Yeti and Himalayan political conspiracies of the early 20th century.
