Turner Prize 2018
Exhibition identity and publication for the Turner Prize 2018.
The jury selected four artists working in film and video, who’s practice explored themes of power, visibility and truth. This was the starting point for the design creative, that resulted in an attempt to capture the vernacular of video/film making, borrowing from the aesthetic elements of the medium.
Digital distortion, an empty video channel signal screen (RGB Blue), glitch typography and pixelated texture were all aesthetic gestures that made up a tool kit for creating the various assets of the exhibition creative.
Nicholas worked as part of the Tate Design Studio on this project, alongside curators Linsey Young and Elsa Coustou to create posters, catalogue, marketing campaign, merchandise and digital assets for the Turner Prize 2018.
