TIME X LA

Photoessay documenting disruptive non-native ficus trees encountered during two months of pedestrian wandering in Los Angeles. All photographs taken between June and August 2012 in Downtown Los Angeles, Westchester, Inglewood and Santa Monica; Los Angeles County, California. Inhabiting the legal grey area between the physical margins of public highway and private land, these trees cause massive eruptions in the sidewalks that disrupt how we both move through and conceptualise these spaces. Welcome to The Jungle.
